If you have chosen a battery storage system or a battery- or accumulator-powered product from our range, we are required to inform you of the following:

Batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of in household waste but must be returned as used batteries and accumulators according to legal requirements. Batteries may contain substances that can harm the environment or your health if improperly stored or disposed of. They also contain valuable raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese, or nickel, which can be recycled. After use, you can return the batteries to us or dispose of them free of charge nearby (e.g., retail stores, municipal recycling centers, or our warehouse). Drop-off at retail locations is limited to typical quantities for end users and only for those types of old batteries that the retailer has or previously offered in their product range.

The symbol with the crossed-out trash can indicates that batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of in household waste. Below this symbol, you may find additional symbols with the following meanings:

  • Hg : Battery contains mercury
  • Cd : Battery contains cadmium
  • Pb : Battery contains lead

The batteries can be returned free of charge after use at our location in 58135 Hagen , at retail stores, or at municipal recycling centers.

We would like to inform you that as an end user, you are legally obligated to return old batteries.

All batteries are marked with the symbol of the crossed-out trash can.

If certain threshold values are exceeded, they are additionally labeled with the chemical symbols of the metals (Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury by mass, Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002% cadmium by mass, Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass).
